Canberra Sinfonia is one of Canberra’s newest semi-professional musical ensemble, designed for and by emerging professional musicians in Canberra. Three young professionals: Leonard Weiss, Helena Popovic and Alison Mountain seek to fill a musical void by creating a chamber orchestra for emerging musicians to bridge the gap between amateur and professional performance opportunities in Canberra.

Our repertoire focuses focuses on early Classical and late Baroque works, from the mid-1700s to around 1825. We aim to provide high quality musical experiences to audiences around the Canberra region and work with both wonderful local musicians and Australian-renowned guest soloists.
